About Anne

A voice for women’s economic empowerment.

“I am a voice for women’s economic empowerment on the global stage, working to move women from the grassroots into boardrooms and positions where they shape financial decisions, direct investment and influence economies.”

Anne’s story

From the grassroots to the boardroom — and back again.

Why widows

In 2019 Anne founded The Goat Foundation, a widows’ economic-empowerment movement working in Africa. Its model is simple and deliberate: place a productive asset — a pair of dairy goats — in a widow’s hands, train her in animal husbandry, financial literacy and a culture of saving, and ask her to pass the first female kid on to another widow.

“Through The Goat Foundation, I champion financial inclusion for vulnerable, economically active widows by placing productive assets in their hands and equipping them with financial literacy. This creates pathways to income, ownership and greater economic independence for women whose potential is too often overlooked.”

Why money

“Through Financially Fit Woman and Wealth Compass for Women, I empower women to change the way they feel, think, act and speak about money — building the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to create wealth, grow enterprises and lead.”

Today

Anne works between Nairobi and the United States, leading The Goat Foundation, building Financially Fit Woman with Cause Vision, and speaking to conferences, institutions, churches and employers on women’s economic power.

My vision is for women at every level to become active architects of global economies — with the resources, opportunities and authority to shape their own futures and strengthen their communities. Anne Musau
